This is the beauty queen Varella, we call her Ella for short. This is one of the very best Jamthund females in the world. We imported Ella from Finland, she is a foundation female with incredible hunting instincts. She is ultra personable and her and I have had a bond from day one. She is currently bred to Ark now again. This is going to be another incredible litter for her. Ella is at our co-breeder Michael with Ark currently and she will whelp out there in Northern Alberta.
This
is a female from Champion hunting dogs going back centuries
and she has all the ability and drive of any of the best. Her
conformation and style are incredible, her size and agility is
perfect. There are few females in the world of this excellence.
Matching her up with Ark has already proven to be one of the best genetic combinations and we know we have more of those great dogs coming soon.

Varella is an incredible working Jamthund female. I imported "Ella" from Finland as a pup. She came with Posso and Karu. She has been such a beautiful easy to work with female. She has very strong hunt drive. She has taken me on some hunts, even if I did not want to hunt that day, haha.
She is sharp, focused, ultra personable to the handler. She probably is one of my most loyal Jamthunds, although they are all super loyal. She is a stunning beauty! Varella is the mother of Aurella who she had on the first litter with Ark. Now she is bred again to Ark and will whelp out just after her daughter. I am shown here with my best buddy Ark. What an amazing big fella. Truly a powerhouse working and hunting dog. Guard dog with exceptional traits. Very focused and personable to the handler. Him and I have been pals since day one.
Currently he is down at Michaels in Northern Alberta, he is the sire for the Varella litter that is coming there. This is an amazing time for the Jamthunds as we have Ark having a litter with Varella and we have their daughter from the first litter having her first litter with Posso! Varpu - Jamthund Female - Mother to Varella
This is the beautiful Varpu over in Finland! She is an amazing female Jamthund and we are so gifted and blessed to have this lineage continuing here now in Canada through Varella, and also through Aurella, the granddaughter of Varpu.

Huugo - Jamthund Male - Father to Varella
This
is Huugo, Champion Jamthund over in Finland, father of the
magnificent Varella. We are so blessed to have this incredible
lineage first time out of the old country. The genetics we currently
have in Varella have never been exported out of the old countries.
These bloodlines have been managed by the careful and dedicated
breeders for centuries over there. We try to follow all old world
breeding principles so as to raise equally as good, equally as
strong a pool of dogs and genetics as we possibly can. This upcoming
litter of Ark and Varella will produce some of the very best of the
Jamthund breed. We are extremely honored to have this proven
Jamthund stud and bloodline as foundation for our breeding program.
Aina - Jamthund Female - Grandmother to Aurella
This is the famous Aina, she is the mother of Ark and the Grandmother to Aurella. I imported Aina years ago from Finland. She and Rico produced some incredible litters and Ark came from that first mating.
Aina was also mated to Posso as well and we known how incredible those pups were also. So this combination of genetics of Aina, Rico, Varella, Ark, Posso and now Aurella is amazing.

There is nothing quite like hiking with two spectacular Jamthunds like Rico and Aina. I had the big boy Rico up to mate with Aina a few years back and I was out hiking with them in the tall timber in the winter. A tremendous pair of Elkhounds.
Russ and Beth and Rico down south and he is one of the very best Jamthund lineages in the world of course. This is an amazing Elkhound with superior genetics and personality. He is just this gentle big fella, greatest family dog ever. Having Rico in the background of Aurella and now she is mated to Posso, there are some very gifted pups coming.
